Bulk Updating Lots via CSV Import

The Contextual CSV Import tool allows you to bulk-update Lot details (Status, Address, Premium, etc.) while viewing a specific Community’s Site Plan. This saves time by avoiding manual entry for every individual lot.

Preparing Your CSV File

To ensure a successful upload, your CSV file must follow these formatting rules:

Required Columns
Lot Name: This is the unique identifier. It must exactly match the Lot Name in the Console (e.g., “Lot 101” vs “101”).

Guide to Setting Up Lot Premiums

What you want the home buyer to seeWhat to type in your spreadsheetExample
A Standard PriceType the number only (no dollar signs or commas)Entering 5000 will show $5,000
A Price DiscountType a minus sign before the numberEntering -2500 will show -$2,500
“No Premium” ($0)Type the number 0Entering 0 will explicitly show $0
A “Contact Builder” buttonType the word ContactEntering Contact replaces the price with a call-to-action
Hide the Premium completelyLeave the cell completely blankEmpty cells will hide the premium field entirely
Quick Tips for Success:
Keep it clean: Never type $ or , in your spreadsheet. The system adds those automatically!
Case doesn’t matter: Writing Contact or contact will both work perfectly.

Sales Status
The status must match your community’s legend. This field is case-insensitive:
– Available
– Quick Move-in (or QMI)
– Reserved
– Sold

How to Import

  1. Navigate: Go to the Community > Site Plans > Lot Management page for the specific community you wish to update.
  2. Upload: Click the “Import CSV” button in the top action bar.
  3. Select File: Choose your prepared .csv file. Note: Ensure your file is saved with UTF-8 Encoding to handle special characters in addresses or descriptions.
  4. Review Summary: After the upload, a modal will show you how many lots were successfully updated and if any rows were skipped due to errors (e.g., “Lot Name not found”).

Pro-Tips for Success

  • No Symbols: Do not include $ or , in the Premium or Lot Size columns. Use plain numbers only.
  • Context Safety: The importer only updates lots in the community you are currently viewing. You cannot accidentally update “Lot 1” in Community B while viewing Community A.
  • Descriptions: You can use the Description column to bulk-add lot features like “Wooded View” or “Cul-de-sac.”
