Floorplan Hotspots

Step 1: Enable & Configure Hotspot Global Settings

  1. Go to the Admin tab from the main menu.
  2. Click General.
  3. Locate Floor Plan Hotspots and click Edit.
  4. Toggle the Status to On to enable hotspots.
  5. (Optional) Toggle Default State to On if you want new hotspots automatically enabled across newly assigned communities.
  6. Choose a Palette Color from your active color theme or check Use Custom Color to input a custom Hex code or select a color using the eyedropper.
  7. Click Submit to save your global hotspot settings.

Step 2: Access the Floor Plan Hotspot Editor

  1. Select Content Dashboard from the navigation sidebar.
  2. Click Plans and select the specific floor plan you want to edit.
  3. From the left sub-menu under the selected plan, click Floor Plan Hotspots.
  4. Set your target Community, Elevation, and Floorplan (e.g., First Floor) to load the floor plan canvas.

Modify Existing Hotspots

  1. Reposition: Click and drag any existing hotspot dot on the floor plan canvas to move it to a new location.
  2. Edit Content: Click on a hotspot and select Details.
  3. Update fields such as Label, Internal Name, Description, or paste a Virtual Tour URL (e.g., YouTube/Vimeo).
  4. Add Photos: Click Select From Gallery under the Gallery section to attach photos from your Media Center, then add an Image Caption.
  5. Click Submit to save changes to the hotspot.

Create a New Hotspot

  1. Click directly on the floor plan canvas image where you want the new hotspot placed.
  2. In the modal that appears, enter a Label (e.g., “Kitchen”) and click Submit.
  3. Click on the newly created hotspot (which will appear red until content is added) and select Details.
  4. Fill in the Description, add a Virtual Tour URL if applicable, and click Select From Gallery to attach media.
  5. Click Submit to resolve the missing content alert and publish the hotspot.

Manage Hotspot Assignments Across Communities & Elevations

  1. Open the hotspot’s Details menu and click Assign Elevations to check off which house elevations should display this hotspot.
  2. Click the Assignments tab at the top of the Floor Plan Hotspots interface.
  3. Select a Community and Story/Floor from the dropdowns.
  4. Click Edit Assignments to toggle checkmarks on or off, assigning or unassigning specific hotspots across different elevations and communities.
  5. Click Save Changes to complete your assignments.

Import Floorplan Hotspots

Step 1: Select Your Destination Floor Plan

  1. Open the Content Dashboard from the navigation menu and click Plans.
  2. Click on the target plan you want to add hotspots to (e.g., Franklin).
  3. Select Floor Plan Hotspots from the left sub-menu.
  4. Set the Community, Elevation, and Floorplan story dropdowns for the layout you want to edit.

Step 2: Open the Import Tool

  1. Click the yellow Import Hotspots button located near the top right of the floor plan canvas.
  2. In the Import Hotspots pop-up modal, select the source Plan you want to copy hotspots from (e.g., Bristol).
  3. Choose the source Community, Elevation, and Floorplan story.

Step 3: Select and Import Hotspots

  1. Under Selected Hotspots, check the boxes next to the specific hotspots you want to copy over (e.g., Porch).
  2. Click Submit to import them into your floor plan layout.

Step 4: Position and Customize the Imported Hotspot

  1. Click and drag the newly imported hotspot to place it in the correct location on your new floor plan canvas.
  2. Click on the hotspot dot and select Details if you need to adjust its description, update virtual tour links, or upload/change photos from the media gallery.
  3. Click Submit to save your changes.
