How To Print Siteplan

This tutorial is for users who wish to print a siteplan with the legend identifying the lot color statuses. Click here for how to download a siteplan without the legend.

There are 2 ways you can print your siteplan from the frontend of the My Home App 2.0…

  1. Take a screenshot and print the screenshot.

Here is a great article by PC Mag detailing how to take a screenshot on any device: https://www.pcmag.com/news/how-to-take-a-screenshot-on-any-device

  1. Use the File > Print function in your browser. Each browser is different and printing capabilities vary…

Safari:

Select File > Print. Follow the instructions to print. You can click “Show Details” to adjust your printing settings (i.e. portrait to landscape).

Chrome:

Click File > Print.

When the print preview first opens, you may not see the siteplan. Click “More settings”

Uncheck “Headers and footers” and check “Background graphics” Change scale to “Custom” and adjust the scale to a number where you see your siteplan appear (in this example it is 71, but the number may be different for your browser/siteplan).

*Note that the siteplan legend does overlap with the siteplan image. You may need to adjust the scale further to move the legend away from the siteplan.

You can also switch the layout to landscape and adjust the scale to print a horizontal image.

Edge:

Edge is the same as Chrome (just a different look and location of scale). In Edge, you can “Shrink to fit” which will automatically adjust the image to fit the print screen.
