Color Tool Terms

Color Palettes: A color design option where buyers are presented with selectable color swatches for each exterior material on their house. This enables them to instantly color design their house online.

Color Schemes: A color design option where buyers are presented with whole house exterior color schemes choices to instantly color design their house online.

Color Hybrid: This hybrid option combines the Color Schemes and Color Palette approaches. Buyers can quickly select from a list of professionally-designed color schemes for a specific home. But then they can change the colors of a few materials by choosing from a pop-up palette of available colors for each material.

Partial Hybrid: A partial color hybrid occurs when schemes are created, but palettes are also assigned to some materials within the scheme (i.e. just the door and garage). This gives users the opportunity to stay with the scheme presented or adjust only a few materials to what they wish.

Full Hybrid: A full color hybrid occurs when schemes are created, but palettes are also assigned to each and every material within the scheme, giving users the opportunity to stay with the scheme presented or adjust each material as they wish.
